Kia ora koutou

Kylie Burns and I are delighted to invite all private law scholars (broadly defined) to the Second Annual Australian and New Zealand Tort and Compensation Researchers and Teachers Network Symposium focusing on The Intersections of Tort and Compensation Law.

We would love all interested Tort and Compensation system researchers and teachers in Australia and New Zealand to join us in beautiful Auckland (or online, but it won't be as much fun!) on 13-14 February 2025 to share research and teaching approaches about tort law, and compensation systems. We are very lucky to be joined by The Honourable Sir Stephen Kós KNZM and The Honourable Justice Peter Applegarth AM, who will provide their insight on these important issues from the perspective of the bench.

The inaugural event was held in Brisbane earlier this year - and was a wonderful, supportive and engaging experience. We welcome contributions which reflect a wide range of topics and approaches including doctrinal, theoretical, critical, empirical, reform and social justice, and pedagogical. We are particularly interested in providing opportunities for early career researchers and teachers to present their work and network with other colleagues.

Attached is a flyer with more details, but please get in contact if you have any questions.
